Shawn Mooring, Owner and Operator
Carolina Island Services and HouseWatch are owned and operated by North Carolina native Shawn Mooring, a graduate of East Carolina University. Shawn founded the company as a natural outgrowth of his father’s long-established home construction business, John Mooring Builder.
Shawn practices the highest standards of customer service and business ethics. He learned home construction and renovation from having worked for his parents’ successful company. Shawn owned, renovated, and managed a historic inn in Beaufort, NC, for six years, where he established a reputation for friendly and efficient service with his guests. He has received an USCG Mariners' license which requires a Homeland Security clearance. A security clearance is also required for his former work as a technical writer for defense contractors.
